Life As We Know It

Braden is now 3 1/2 weeks old and weighing in at 10 1/2 pounds! He loves to eat, sleep and fuss! We are all adjusting to a new life with little sleep and lots of diapers! We feel very blessed to have a happy and healthy baby and are enjoying our new family.

Thank Heaven for Little Boys

What a week it has been! We have truly been blessed by the birth of a beautiful and loving baby boy. Ryan is a fabulous, hands-on daddy who loves his son! It has been a tough week, but one of the most rewarding of our lives. My mom has been with us all week and Ryan's parents have been making daily visits so we have been well taken care of! I definately appreciate my mother more now....being a parent is not an easy job!! Braden is truly a wonderful baby....we are just trying to establish a sleeping routine so we can get some rest (he has done much better the past 2 nights). We got off to a rough start as far as nursing and had to switch to a bottle but he is doing well and has almost gained all of his lost weight back. We will continue to give you updates as time allows. Have a wonderful weekend (and by the way.....my mom and brother say he is the prettiest baby alive)!

Braden's Second Day

Michelle and I may be two of the luckiest parents alive. Braden's morning started off with a shot and a circumcision. That didn't bother the little guy one bit though. He didn't cry once all day! He was great eating and sleeping. I only hope this continues until he is five! Michelle is doing great and healing nicely. We should come home tommorrow unless something unforeseen arises.

Braden's Birthday!

Hello Everyone! Braden made his appearance this morning at 8:18. He weighed in at 8 lbs. and 4 ounces. Mother and baby are doing great! Thanks everyone for all the gifts, prayers, and support during this time!

It's Time!!

Well, we've made it past our due date which is not necessarily a good thing. Boredom has started to kick in and I have done crazy things like asking my mom to change several things on Braden's bedding and spending money on frivolous items. I could really go on and on but I will save myself the embarrasement!! Anyway, we went to the doctor today for an ultrasound and according to the ultrasound, he is 10 pounds 6 ounces. Of course, there is a 10-15% room for error but it still looks like he is a good size baby. I had not progressed ANY so at this point I am not a great candidate for an induction so my doctor discussed all of our options. We decided a
c-section was best considering all of the circumstances. I will have the c-section on Friday at 8am so Braden should be here by 8:30am on October 5th. We will post an update and pictures as soon as possible. Thank you for all your phone calls, blog comments, emails and prayers. We can't wait to introduce you to our sweet baby boy!
