Over the past week, I have enjoyed updating our Ipod/Itunes music list. I have gone back and listened to some old songs. In doing this, I began to realize how much a simple song can "take you back". For example, in my "previous life" (okay....really just before I found out I was pregnant), Ryan and I would "spin" at the YMCA at least 3 times a week. We were actually in shape and loved doing this together. During my pregnancy, I just could not find enough strength to drag myself out and actually exercise! Anyway, I have been listening to Counting Crows "Accidentally in Love" this week and it has reminded me how much I love to spin. It was my favorite spin song. I have missed spinning so much!! Ryan and I are going to try to start going again this week. All of this to say.....have some fun and listen to old songs and think about high school days, old friends, etc... I leave you with this.......... http://www.travismalone.com/Stateofmind.mp3
(I just realized in order to listen to the link above, you will have to close my blog after opening the link so you won't be listening to 2 songs at once.....oops!!)

Happy Mother's Day
1) Thank you for for buying me those "much needed" flowery jeans on that Thursday night in middle school after I did not make the cheerleading squad. Without those jeans, who knows how I would have faced all my friends that next day!?!?!?
2) Thank you for the midnight runs to Dairy Queen with Amie and for making those fabulous sub sandwiches for Juliette and me in middle and high school.
3) Thank you for the pizza and buffalo wing nights at my apartment after those long days of painting your new house (while planning my beautiful wedding!!)
4) Thank you for the many lunches at the Picnic and the Puffy Muffin.
5) Thank you for teaching me how to paint, hang crown moulding, fix toilets, sew, hang light fixtures, hang blinds, etc.......
6) Thank you for sitting with me countless nights while I cried about whatever drama was going on at that particular time.
7) Thank you for the years of riding to work together and the countless conversations we got to enjoy (Thanks for saving me all that gas!).
8) Thank you for going on all those church youth activities and being the mom that everyone enjoyed being around!
9) Thank you for sharing stories of your life at the boy's ranch with dad and Alan and reminding me of momemts with him that are easy to forget as time goes by.
10) Thank you for always finding enough energy to stay up late, go shopping, watch Braden or whatever else I ask to you to do. It is great to know I can always count on you.
And most of all, Thank you for loving me unconditionally and giving me the opportunities to succeed and fail. Thank for enjoying the successes with me and Thank you for standing by my side when I made mistakes. Thank you for teaching me (by example) what it means to have courage, strength, to live by faith and truly live one day at a time.
I love you!!
